About
A clearer guide
to a complex city
An independent English-language travel guide for understanding Chongqing before you arrive.
Purpose
Chongqing Travel Guide helps international visitors plan a thoughtful first visit. It focuses on city orientation, practical transport, accommodation tradeoffs, food culture and the neighborhood texture that sits beyond the skyline.
The guide is written for people who want to understand how the city fits together, not just collect a list of photo stops. It favors durable orientation over a rigid schedule, and it links to official sources for details that change.
Editorial approach
The guide separates durable orientation from facts that can change. We avoid unsupported schedules, prices, guarantees and invented reviews. Visitors should confirm current transport, entry, ticketing and venue details through the relevant official source close to travel.
This is desk research. It does not claim first-hand visits, personal testing of every route, author credentials, verification dates or paid expertise. Where a detail cannot be verified, the guide either omits it or points to the official source instead of filling the gap with a guess.
Photographs are editorial representations from Unsplash and Wikimedia Commons, chosen because the source identifies Chongqing or a clearly relevant local subject. A photograph is not evidence that the writer visited the place, and it is not a documentary record of a specific date or event.
Independence and commercial relationships
This site is not an official tourism office, booking service or personal diary. At the time of publication, it has no advertising, affiliate links, sponsored placements, paid rankings, booking commissions or commercial partnerships. It does not operate user accounts, accept reservations or sell tours.
If the site's commercial relationships change, this page will be updated before the change takes effect. A guide that accepts payment for placement would need to say so clearly; this version does not.
Corrections process
A public correction channel is not yet available. The site owner has not supplied a monitored contact address, and this version does not display an invented one or use a form that cannot deliver messages. See the contact page for the current status.
When a channel is available, a useful correction should include the page address, the passage in question, the date you checked it and a reliable source. The guide will then be reviewed and updated, with the change recorded in the page itself where it matters.
What this site does not do
- It does not book hotels, tours, tickets or transport.
- It does not publish hotel reviews, ratings, prices or paid rankings.
- It does not guarantee accessibility, opening hours, weather or service outcomes.
- It does not collect accounts, form submissions, payments or mailing-list sign-ups.
- It does not present desk research as a first-hand trip report.
